Two decades of teaching in the heart of Kathmandu
Kathmandu Model College (KMC) was established in 2003 in Bagbazar, Kathmandu, and is affiliated to Tribhuvan University. In 2023 it earned accreditation from Nepal’s University Grants Commission, a mark of quality that relatively few colleges in the country hold.
KMC teaches across management, humanities, computing and the social sciences at bachelor’s and master’s level, and is known for strong academic results. Its students are Kathmandu’s school leavers and working graduates, choosing between dozens of colleges that offer the same Tribhuvan University programmes.
Programmes students come to KMC for
Why KMC came to us
Every Tribhuvan University college in Kathmandu teaches the same programmes to the same syllabus. When a student searches “BBA in Nepal” or “BCA course”, the college that explains the programme best is the one they start trusting, and KMC was competing with larger colleges and education portals for that moment.
Same programmes, same syllabus, dozens of colleges
With identical TU programmes on offer across the city, students choose by trust and familiarity. Education portals and bigger colleges owned the searches students make when they first explore a programme, from what a course is to its syllabus, fees and career scope.
A student’s research starts with the programme, not the college
Students search “what is BCA” long before they search for a college. KMC needed to be present at that first question.
New programmes needed a home
As KMC added programmes such as the Bachelor of Psychology, each needed its own place on the site that could be found and understood.
Competitors moving fast
Rival colleges were investing in their own websites and content, so KMC’s position had to be tracked and defended, not assumed.
AI Overviews changing the results page
Google’s AI Overviews and AI assistants now answer programme questions directly, and only cite sources they trust.
What we did for KMC
We have been KMC’s search partner since 2021. The strategy has been simple to describe and demanding to deliver: make KMC the most useful source in Nepal for anyone researching the programmes it teaches.

A long-running content programme covering what each course is, its syllabus semester by semester, fees, entrance preparation and career scope, written for students and parents weighing their options.
- Programme explainers and comparisons
- Semester-by-semester syllabus guides
- Career, entrance and fee guides
Programme pages that can be found
Programme pages and new additions, like a dedicated Bachelor of Psychology page, organised so students and search engines can move easily between programmes, syllabi and admissions, backed by technical reviews and optimisation as the site grew.
